About Jonathan Cansdale
How did I get here?
My experience at a senior level has been grounded over 30 years in the development of large private gardens in Surrey, Oxfordshire, Cheshire and Yorkshire.
Each successive role crossed the boundaries of head gardener into project management, contemporary garden and landscape design, landscape recovery and ever wider stake holder engagement. As each role grew, the research behind every part of my practice continued to develop through study, conference attendance and international travel. As a Chartered horticulturist I have followed my experience to study and practice social and therapeutic horticulture, connectivity of green infrastructure, management planning and to expand and formalise my knowledge in the protection of ancient and veteran trees.
