Evaluation in Practice
An evaluation will assess each part of the garden inclusive of trees , all plants present, soils, green waste management, water, current practice, and conditions favourable for wildlife enhancement.
Upon meeting, we will discuss what the garden means to you, all those who visit it, and where we find that wonderful balance of smiles, butterflies, scents, colours and harmony.
I will also record the following:
materials used in the surrounding buildings and structures,
pathways and seating,
the views from and into the garden,
aspect and topography,
the availability of water,
the history of the property regardless of age, and
climate modelling to ensure resilience in your garden
It is important to note an evaluation does not always lead to a complete redesign. We may conclude that a change of practice, the re-working of a pathway or an adjustment in the planting is all that is needed for us to breathe a little deeper and enjoy our place in nature.
